In 2021 Ren volunteers helped distribute groceries to about a dozen neighbors every month. In November we additionally gave Thanksgiving-themed produce and baking ingredients for nine refugee families through the Refugee Dream Center. Thank you to all volunteers!
Community Sunday + Baptisms
What a beautiful Community Sunday! Congrats to all who chose to be baptized. Many of us watching have prayed for you and have seen you transform—we are ROUTING for you and want to endure with you in following Jesus.
Afterwards we got in groups for fun discussions and then headed to the cafe for Knead doughnuts, drinks, and more, served by the youth group.

Life Celebration of Derek Truesdale
In May we held a memorial service to remember Derek’s life. Derek meant a lot to people at Ren and the surrounding community. Many remember his warm greeting at the front door of Ren, his hard-working, generous spirit. Pastor Scott, Asa Sohn, Ellie Goldberg, and best friend Marc Williams shared a few memories, and attendees could write down their own of Derek to be put in a memory book for his family. It was a special service remembering our friend who made many feel valued, important and protected. We miss you, Derek.

Several artists brightened up our back parking lot with a flower garden mural! Thanks to all the volunteers who dedicated multiple days to paint and move ladders. We needed something beautiful for our outdoor services.
Meeting outdoors for Sunday service
After countless months of virtual-only Sundays, Ren reopened in-person services in time for Easter! For April and May of 2021 we gathered outdoors in the parking lot. Sermons were preached open-air and the neighborhood heard us worship. Children ran around the lot during the service. It was a joyous season of seeing each other after a long year of social distancing.
