We Are In!!!
I’m excited to announce that we are finally in the new space, and our first service will be this Sunday, January 5. Here’s the address for those who have not yet been.
10 Tripps Lane
Riverside, RI
02915
We’ll have our familiar Ren signage out by the road to direct you. We will also have some parking lot ushers to direct you to our entrances. Our space is part of a much larger building owned by PACE (a nonprofit) and is in the far back corner. So you’ll come in around the back of the building. Our doors have Ren Church signage.
The new location at 10 Tripps Lane is 4.8 miles from 184 Broad Street. Right now as I write this (late afternoon on Thursday) the gps says it’s 11 minutes. On a Sunday it’ll be closer to 5 minutes. My wife and I live in Warwick so the new location will be only 2-3 minutes longer for us each Sunday. I know Rhode Islanders love to complain about the “bridge traffic.” And, sure, I don’t love it either, but—for the love of God and Ren let’s not make it a bigger deal than it is :)
If you are planning to attend Sunday I’d encourage you to aim to arrive earlier than usual. Service is at 10. Aim for 9:30. That’ll give you plenty of time to park, walk in, get a coffee, look around, and if you have children, to get them checked in. All of that takes time. We won’t be able to have the coffee bar open beyond 10 am anymore because of the smaller size of the space. So come early if you want coffee.
For those of you who are interested in helping us with the final move and set up we are loading up a Uhaul at 184 Broad tomorrow (Friday, Jan 3) at 5 pm. And then on Saturday we’ll be doing some set up details in the space from 1-7 pm.
Lastly, let’s be praying that the glory of the Lord would fill our new space this Sunday for our first gathering. There are a lot of little things that can (and probably will!) go wrong Sunday as we are getting used to the new space. But my prayer is that the love of God would be strong and tangible and overflowing!!! And that every single person who comes this Sunday would receive a special touch of blessing from God.
