Probably the most active of all the groups is the young adult community. I tease the leaders that they have more happening in their little group than the rest of the church put together. I think there are about 30-40 people in this group. You must be between 18 - 40 years old to be a part of it. The main gathering is every week on Sunday evening 6 pm at REN for worship and Bible discussion. I believe they are in book of Isaiah right now.
Young Couples - Saturday June 18
The newest group to emerge is the young couples. This is specifically for serious dating couples, engaged couples and newly married couples. How newly married? We aren't rigid about it at all. If you are interested just come. The purpose of this group is to help couples grow in their relationships. The next gathering is this Saturday 7pm at Ren and the aim is to meet at least once a month.
Family Gathering on the Fourth of July
In the last few years we have been absolutely bursting with families with small children.

For those who are over 40 I would like to invite you to come to Ren Friday (tomorrow) at 7pm for a short time of dreaming and planning. Amazingly there are approximately 50 of us who are over 40 at Ren. So we really want to talk about what kinds of things we'd like to do together this summer.
Christianity 101
For those who are not yet Christians, are new Christians or returning back to the Lord I would strongly recommend the Christianity 101 class. This happens on Sunday mornings from 9-9:40am in the prayer room. The format is such that you can just bring whatever questions you might have to the table and I will do my best to answer them. The conversations are always so interesting and helpful to all of us. I look forward to this time each week!
Wednesday Night Prayer: Refresh
Every Wednesday night at Ren 7-8:30 pm there are about 30-40 people who come together to worship, hear the Word and pray. We call the gathering Refresh. This has become one of my very favorite blocks of the week. I always show up a little tired and honestly I often don't even want to go. But I always walk away refreshed and strengthened by God’s power. Try to weave into your schedule at least 1-2 times a month if you can. “No church is greater than its prayer meeting”, someone once said.
Christianity 101
Throughout the month of May I have met with many of our newer Christians on Sunday mornings 9-9:40am in the prayer room.

We will be hosting a memorial service this Wednesday June 8th at Ren Church (184 Broad St, Providence RI 02903). The service will be at 7pm but doors will open at 6pm. This will essentially be a time for those in the Rhode Island area who knew Ellynn to come together to celebrate her life with stories and songs and strawberries (because Ellynn loved strawberries).

This Sunday will be a very special gathering. All of our children will be with us in the sanctuary for a short block of worship. Then we will gather all the kids up front and pray for them that God would pour out His Spirit in their lives. I'll be sharing a message to answer the question “what does God want to do in this upcoming generation of Ren kids?” This talk will definitely affect parents but will be deeply relevant to all of us in our great call to impact the tens of thousands of young people in the Providence neighborhood God has planted us in.

Jonas and Becky Woods at Renaissance Church - November 2015
Jonas and Becky Woods visited REN's morning service to lead us in some songs of worship, as well as a concert later that night with more of their original music. Both events were wonderful, thank you Jonas and Becky for sharing your gifts with us!
REN Craft Market - Recap
We had such a great time at the Craft Market that we decided to hold a smaller version for anyone who missed it (or needs to do a little more Christmas shopping) which will be this upcoming Sunday, Dec. 6 from 12-3pm! Plan to stick around after service for lunch, and invite some friends. Proceeds support our Elevator Campaign to make our sanctuary more accessible.

Wednesday nights from 7-8:30pm is our Refresh Prayer gathering in the sanctuary. Nothing is more important to us than building a vibrant culture of prayer. The format varies but is typically an open style prayer with music in the sanctuary and people spreading throughout the sanctuary to seek the Lord.
