Probably our most impactful outreach last summer was the Hope Fest we did in our parking lot. About 500 people, mostly from the neighborhoods, came and heard the Gospel of Jesus and stories of hope and transformation. We prayed for people and got to know our neighbors. We fed a lot of people as well.
Instead of doing it at REN we thought it would be more neighborly to partner with the Salvation Army on Broad Street and do it at their location. They have a parking lot right on Broad in the middle of a high concentration area.
If you'd like to be a part of this there are so many ways to get involved like spreading invites, hanging posters, serving in the prayer tent, helping with stage and sound, prepping food, hospitality and so on.
The event will be Sunday August 14th at 4:30 pm and the previous Sunday, August 7th, we will meet at REN at 7 pm to talk through the details. Everyone is welcome to get involved.
